Artist Statement

My work right now deals with constantly refining the same shapes while applying various color and surface techniques.  While working for an artist that uses Italian techniques I have been able to incorporate my ideas with his and he has directly influenced some of these pieces.  I first set up my color schemes and vaguely figure out a shape but I’ve found that something unplanned always happens to change my idea part way through and I end up with an output totally different from my first idea.  When working with the glass I allow myself to communicate and interact with the medium, and then apply different aesthetic techniques to subtract the glass once it is cold
